When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which
is the freshest, so you 'squeeze' for freshness or softness? Did you know
that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday,
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color
twist tie.
They are:
Monday = Blue
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow
So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is
Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color
Blue-Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to
remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and
the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the
plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy
fresh bread when you buy bread with the rigt color on the day you are

Don't forget "Gatorade" for Migraine Headaches & Hang-overs. PowerAide
won't work.

Manic Monday on Tuesday

You know when you think your day is going to go a certain way and then you get stuck on the computer and nothing has been done. Well that is me right now. I have been glued to this seat at the computer for the last 3 hours updating my sites and have the tv for background noise.
I know this may or may not be some of you out there, but it does get a lil annoying at times on my part. I am not trying to bash on myself or justify it. I am just getting my new online shoppe filled with many great products and I will do some house chores before I  take Lily to the doctor for her flu booster shot. I do keep my kids appts.
Well just a lil ranting on myself. Oh did I mention I am supposed to be packing as I will be moving come Feb? I know it's a ways away but I need to start now or nothing will get done. LOL
If you want to participate in Manic Mondays got to:
and sign up.
Time to finish up here on the computer then I got dishes to do.
Have a Great Day!

My Update

I know I have not posted in a long while. I have been doing so many different things. I got my new online shoppe going. I am still adding new items but you can place orders for your gift items. I have ready to ship items, get them for Christmas or any other occasion.

I also have a new blog stop by and let me know what you think!
My weight loss journey has taken a new twist. I am currently no longer on the medical program, as I am in the process of trying something new. I did however lose another pound. Yayme!
I am also in the process of moving. So I am packing and trying to locate a bigger home.
Wow is that a plateful or what?
I will try my best to post at least once a week.

Weight loss journey

I had ordered a Healthometer weight tracking scale from about 10 days ago. Well today it arrived and I picked it up at my local Walmart. I am excited about losing weight. I didn't think I had made any changes but guess what I have. Today is two weeks since I started my weight loss program and I already lost 6 pounds. It may not seem like much but to me that is a huge deal. I have the problem of eating when I am totally bored or for any reason actually.

I still need to put a workout together so I can lose more weight and help to tone my body. I am not a big fan of exercising so this is a personal challenge of mine. I really want to exercise and I know it is healthy for me but I get "LAZY" when it comes to exercise. I have been doing some crunches and trying to keep a schedule of 3X per week. Let's see how I manage that one.

I have also cut back on how much I eat. I have actually cut the portions in half and eat less. I am trying to drink lots of water so far I think I manage 40-80oz a day. I still enjoy lots of my favorite foods but I cut back on the portions. That way I don't feel like I am on a strict diet or anything. Because once I get off this program I want to be able to manage my eating habits. I have heard when people stop this type of program they gain their weight back and it is doubled. I do not want that to happen to me.

I am hoping to lose a total of 80+ pounds by the end of this program. I have not decided how long I am aiming for at this time. I want to lose the weight but not too quickly as it is not healthy.

Here is my status so far:
Monday 11/02/09 ~ 201 lbs.
Monday 11/16/09 ~ 195.4 lbs.

Beginning of my Weight Loss Journey

This morning went rather well. The kids got up and got ready for school. My son Ernesto took me out to breakfast. He is such a sweet heart! I am awaiting my consultation for my weight loss program. I am a bit nervous but excited at the same time. I want/need to loose weight for various reasons, the first and foremost important reason is my health. I am so tired of being tired and in a way it is depressing. I will be writing about my weight loss journey on a weekly basis.

I went to my consultation and started my weight loss program. The place I went to is called FatBusters and it is in Fresno, CA. The FNP Beverly Taylor was really nice and was very informative. She made me feel very welcomed and at ease. The program consists of a B12 shot and medication. I will be going once a month to get my new supply of medication as it is only one month's supply and my B12 shot as well. I have the option of going back in two weeks for another B12 shot if I feel it is needed. In my case I think it is needed. I was also given a diet plan for 1200 calories per day. It sounds so easy even I can't mess it up. LOL. I need to exercise 30 minutes 3x per week. This should get me moving and motivated as I tend to be more on the lazy side.

I got weighed in at 201 lbs. My blood pressure was taken and it was fine. I will be blogging about my progress on a weekly basis. I need to buy an electric scale as the scale I have here is off. That way I can track my progress.

The total cost of the program is $75, which is a great deal as others charge by the week. All consultations are FREE! All medications are included in the program. Call to schedule your appointment today! Evening and weekend appointments are available.

Thursday's Thoughts

I went to court this morning regarding my two boys. I was confident and hopeful. The fate of my boys living arrangements were to be determined at this court. GREAT NEWS! I was awarded extended visit with my boys, that means they get to stay with me for sixty days straight. They do not have to return to the group home. In fact I have a sixty day review in January to see how everyone is and hopefully at that court the judge grants me family maintenance. In family maintenance they are mine again yipee! Court again in April and hopefully the judge says case closed. Those are the words I am waiting to hear from the judge.

This is my son Dominic he is nine years old.

This is my son Ernesto he is ten years old.

These two boys are the reasons why I did not give up when I was told in the beginning of my case that I was not going to get them back. It's been 2 years and 5 months since my boys were taken from me. Now they are on their way back to me.

I want to give HOPE to others who are in similar situations and to remind them not to give up. I also want to thank my HIGHER POWER for giving me my life back and my family.

I am so grateful for who and what I have in my life today. As today is day 814 of my sobriety journey. I will write about that on Sober Sundays.

On a different note, Monday will mark my new journey to weight loss and healthier lifestyle. I will be blogging about my journey and my progress.

Here I am with my fiance Antonio, our baby girl Lily (purple dress) and his uncle's daughter.

Don't we make a great happy couple? In January will be our two year anniversary and we are going to Vegas!

These are just a few of my thoughts and accomplishments.

Keep Coming Back!

My First Bunco Night

Earlier this evening I went to my first Bunco Night with the Fresno Mommies. The theme was Halloween. My costume was last minute so I consider myself a 49ers fan. Anyway, I got lost trying to locate the address. Then once inside the complex I got lost again. When I finally found the right place and knocked, the woman at the door said it was french class. I second guessed myself and thought I was in the wrong place. Joke was on me though, I was in the right place.

This being my first Bunco I wasn't sure what to expect. I was kinda nervous as there were so many mommies and some of which I never met before. I did well and got the hang of the game. My new fave game Bunco! I handed out MOM PACKS at the end of the night. For all you moms out there who want to send fillers for these packs contact me.

This was a great treat for me since I had a rough week. I dealt with my landlord trying to over charge me for rent, ex boyfriend wanting a favor from me and he don't help me out (long story), kids fighting and Lily throwing things out of the fridge. Busy hectic week.

Tomorrow we are heading out of town as I pick up Bella for our visit. I only get her for 48 hours in a month. Trying to get that fixed. I miss my daughter so much and I know she misses us. I also want her to meet my family as she does not know them. ***SIGH***

I got my Arbonne products today. I can't wait to try them out. Yayme!!! I also got my Pink Papaya products today and will be trying them out as well, I will give my review of the products.

Lily is coughing away, I feel bad for her. I did rub vicks on her chest and her back. I hope she gets better soon. She does have a doctors appointment next week. My SO is yelling at her for crying, she is in pain though. I think I am done blogging for the night so I can attend to my baby's needs.

Good Night!

Busy Day ~ Lots Done

Wow I am so tired! My family and I had a busy day today. We got up at 6:30am, I made breakfast burritos and then we were on the road. We went to a community yard sale in Clovis. Found great deals, picked up some cds from artists back in the day and some things for the kids. We then headed to the Fresno Mommies 3rd Birthday Party. We got there and started to mingle. I bought raffle tickets as there were so many great prizes to win. The kids and Antonio were at the playground playing.

There were so many events for the kids to do. Oh ya did I mention we got airbrushed tattoos, so cooool! There were snakes, bubbles, princesses, crafts and lots of goodies for all of us. We had so much fun. Towards the end the raffle was held. I won two dinners at Table Mountain (what I was hoping to win) and Antonio won earrings (which he gave to me) and he also won a baby item. We were so excited as we do not win anything.

After the party we went to Walmart to buy halloween costumes for the kids. All but one found something. I bought Carrie Underwood & Kelly Pickler cds. Already listened to them and they are great!

I fell asleep as did Lily as we were just burnt out. Everyone else did their own thing. After I got up I made dinner for my family and now some time later here blogging.

I love family days like this one!

782 days of sobriety

I can't believe how far I have come, not only do I have 782 days of sobriety I have so much to be thankful for. My boys are coming home. WooHoo! I have my boys liberal visits which is I have them for thirteen days at a time they go back for one and so forth. I will soon be getting them for sixty days then permanently. I have worked so hard and kept my faith. My fight for my boys have taken me two years and five months. soon it will be all over and we will be one happy family.

My boys, Ernesto and Dominic, have joined cub scouts and they went for their first overnight camping trip. They had a blast! I am so happy they will be able to experience life with their family again.

My girls are just so precious. They are growing up so fast. My four year old Bella is in preschool and loving it My twelve year old Alanis is in 7th grade and she is also in the band playing the clarinet. I also enrolled her in Girl Guard. Lily my nineteen month old is growing so fast I don't want her to.

I will no longer be taking my family for granted as I did in the past. But I am a totally different person today and I thank God everyday.

My Gold Canyon business is starting to take off. I am glad. I will be joining a new company in the next couple of months. It is Usana. They offer supplements, bath products and more. I keep you all posted when this happens.

Mona Vie has a new healthy energy drink called EMV. Check out my website for more info. Free membership til the end of 2009.

Well I guess that is all for now til next time!

My place called HOME

It has come to my attention that on July 1st, 2009, Antonio, Lilliana and I will have lived at our current residence for an entire year. To you it may not be a big deal but for us it is at least for me it is. I do not remember living in a residence longer than a few months, even during my childhood years (I could be wrong). I am so excited!

This past week I have been spending lots of time on Face book. I have connected with so many people from my high school days. I think it is cool to see where they are now.

I know I have a story to tell about my life, especially my fight for my life. I have overcome so many of life's trails and tribulations and it just shows how strong a person I really am. I would like to be an inspiration to others and provide HOPE to others. I am a recovering alcoholic/addict and domestic violence survivor. I want to share my story with others in hopes of saving them from destruction. I have been there and it is not fun. It is a living hell! But you can recover and you can find help.

I am now a college student and I work from home. I enjoy being a mom as well. My life is so much better now I sometimes wonder if I am dreaming. There is Life after Tragedy! I am proof of it. All the pain & suffering I endured I don't wish on my worst enemy.

Now I can move forward in my life and create a better life for my kids and myself. I definitely found myself a great guy who loves me completely and I love him the same. We are such a happy couple and are creating a loving environment for our family.

What I also learned is that you can create a HOME wherever you are as long as you have love.

Because life happens

Tonight is day 675 of my sobriety. I am really proud to say in just 7 weeks I will be celebrating my 2nd birthday of sobriety. I sure have come a long ways.

On the 11th of this month my oldest child had her 6th grade promotion. She is now a 7th grader. I can't believe so much time has passed me by. Of course time does that when you are drinking and drugging. I have a beautiful and smart girl on my hands.

Tonight I have my boys for an extended visit. For those of you who are not up to date, CPS took my boys from me due to my addiction. They saved my life. If they did not do this who knows I might be dead today.

No one really knows the suffering addictions are til they truly experience it. I hope no one does, it's horrible to have to answer to the bottle or the drugs. They own you til you decide to break free.

If you notice that you are getting in trouble due to drugs or alcohol then you might have a problem. I suggest seeking help now before you hit your bottom. Although some of us need to hit that bottom. I know I did.

I try to share my story to as much people as I can in hopes to help them before destruction gets a hold of them. I am always available to chat by email if you need to. I am always just a stamp away too. If you need to write then send me a message and I will give you the club address.

It is time for me to say good night to everyone in cyberspace.

Thank the Lord for another day of life and thank Him for all you have in your life.

My Birthday!

Well today is my birthday and I am feeling a little under the weather. :(
It's 12:40 pm and I sit here at my computer looking through all my groups I am involved in. I'm taking my girls to the doctor today. They are sick too. I feel for them.

My birthday is ok I guess. My daughter told me happy birthday before she went to school this morning. My mom sent me a text message saying happy birthday. To me my birthday is just another day.

I did get good news today. I will now be getting my boys over nights. I have worked so hard for this to finally come my way. My boys have be away from me for two years now. I am very grateful for this and I thank the Lord.

I'll write more when I get the chance.
